Blankets

It's a warm summer night, you lie in bed, about to fall asleep, your blanket pushed off to the side.
It's not like you'll need it.

You hear a noise, like the sound of tiny feet running across the floor.
You lie completely still.
There it is again!
You pull your blanket over you, hoping that in some way it will protect you.
But, you see, that's the best part, that's what they want you to do!
They can't touch you, but the blanket? Oh, they can most definitely touch the blanket.
And, once they are on the blanket? For your sake, let's hope you never find out what happens once they are on the blanket........
